Paws Up Pet Prints is a home grown business that evolved from Hands Down Baby Prints and was created by independent artist Nik Slade in 2001.

 

Nik has worked in arts and education, specialising in visual arts and printmaking, teaching Photography, Design, Visual Culture & Art History. Alongside this, she has been creating beautiful life casts and keepsakes in stone cast plaster and solid silver. Safe and natural materials are sourced as locally as possible and working from an artist studio at home, costs and carbon footprint are kept low.

In 2018 Nik relocated to The Old Stores Studio in Somerset, an old victorian shop on Evercreech High Street ten minutes from Bruton. With a move to the country came two new whippets (see Scout and Suki above)and Paws Up Pet Prints was born.

 

Casting and keepsakes are a beautiful way of capturing the unique paw prints of your treasured pet. Imprints take seconds to create and a beautiful relief cast is made from each individual impression. Full 3D casting is also available and mould making is a quick and easy process, taking less than a minute. Your cast is finished, framed and ready to collect around 2-4 weeks later. Solid silver keepsake jewellery is also available made directly from your pets paw prints. There are a choice of designs and sterling silver jewellery pieces to compliment your print pendants.

 

Imprints are taken at our studio in Evercreech near Bruton in Somerset. They can also be taken at a venue of your choice, by arrangement, for group orders in or around Bristol, Bath and Somerset. Individual visits can be arranged with a travel fee and please note that, in most cases, it is also possible to make casts and keepsakes shortly before or after your pet has passed away by arrangement.
